Shirley E. Miller was born in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1946, to the late Gussy and Minnie K. Anderson, Shirley was preceded in death by her sister, the late Dorothy Hasberry, and her sister's husband, Robert (aka Corporal). Shirley’s legacy is one of love, strength, and devotion to her family. Shirley's life was filled with purpose and care for those around her. Educated in the Boston Public school system, Shirley's journey led her through Girls' High School and Roxbury Community College. Shirley worked in the healthcare industry. She was a loving mother, wife, grand/great grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt. She always had a smile on her face and never hesitated to help a child in need.
Shirley was united in holy matrimony to Mr. James K. Miller, Sr. to this union three children were born and left to cherish her memory Dennis Miller, James K. Miller, Jr. (Renalda), Wanda Miller-Meadows (Leslie). Shirley and her true Love George Winborne (Magic man) (deceased) had one daughter together Kiyana Winborne-Nelson.
Shirley is survived by her loving children Dennis Miller, James K. Miller, Jr. (Renalda), Wanda Miller-Meadows (Leslie), Kiyana Winborne-Nelson and her Godson Greg Berry. Shirley leaves to mourn her death 17 Grandchildren one deceased) and 24 greatgrandchildren. Her nephew Michael Hasberry, niece Michelle Hasberry-Green (George), nephew Marlon Hasberry (deceased) and a host of many other loving relatives and friends to remember her loving legacy. Though she may no longer be physically present, her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
